spookily beautiful

I'm more than excited to go to this year's Whitney Biennial. Curated by Francesco Bonami, this one has tons that I'm excited to see and even more, the majority of the artists are women.

So excited for Pae White, Tauba Auerbach, Aurel Schmidt, Ellen Gallagher (in collaboration with Edgar Cleijne, and Storm Tharp. I could go on and on, but I'll do so after I actually go see it.

Storm Tharp's watercolors are spookily beautiful.

all woman, all hot.

Christina Hendricks is seriously sultry on the cover of New York Magazine this month. I am so excited to see her more on Mad Men this next season.

McQueen

Alexander McQueen's passing last week was a loss to not only the fashion world, but to the visual world. His designs were amazing, but I loved his presentations of them.

Presentation is everything.

RIP Alexander McQueen.

This one is possibly one of my favorite that I've seen. The Spring 2004 Collection was inspired by Sydney Pollack's They Shoot Horses, Don't They?

For our recent Happy Hour, I made these recipe cards and menu. I decided to go with a European Folk Art theme that I've been really into lately. You can download the templates and recipe cards on NumNum Chronicles. We also just posted all the photos, how-tos, and recipes! Click here for how-tos and here for recipes.
