Occult of Culp

After many, and i say MANY, months (could it be years?) of waiting, Heather Culp finally has her new site up. Its filled with new stories and beautiful and mysterious images. If there were an occult of Heather, I'd join that.

A pilfering...

I've pilfered my friend, Brigitte Sire's website.

She's an amazing photographer and I love everything that she shoots, but I came across these collages and oh.my.god. I fell in love and like the internet pirate that I am, I stole them. so arrrrrr, shiver me timbers....

Free Love

I'm no hippie... a lot of people I know definitely has some inner hippie in them and even though I make fun of them its only because I'm jealous that I'm not.

But, if I could transport myself in time I would go back to to 1969 and to Woodstock. After seeing these photos by Burk Uzzle, I feel like I'm right there.

Burk Uzzle's Show "Woodstock 40th Anniversary" is up at Laurence Miller Gallery in New York ti August 7th.

"Do your own thing, wherever you have to do it and whenever you want. Drop out. Leave society as you have known it. Leave it utterly. Blow the mind of every straight person you can reach. Turn them on, if not to drugs, then to beauty, love, honesty, fun."-Time Magazine, July 1967

Visual Candy

Like most creative types who are stuck to their computer, I have a long list of bookmarks of my favorite visual candy. I just happened to look through a couple of them recently and noticed Clare Shilland, a photographer out of the UK, has updated her site. There are some really great new photos up. A lot of her work evokes something in me. I especially love her "Picadilly" series.

Some of my favorite...
