Mr. Fox, You're Fantastic!

Roald Dahl has been one of my favorite authors, not only as a kid but even as an adult (have you read his adult fiction? "My Uncle Oswald" is highly recommended). Combine the geniusness of both Roald Dahl and Wes Anderson and you've got my brain exploding.

The first 3 screen images of Wes Anderson's stop motion Fantastic Mr. Fox have been posted. The film is due out in November. Mr. Fox (that means you Mr. Wes Anderson), I will wait patiently.

Wes Anderson and his films have been one of the biggest inspirations to me. I have watched all of his films more than I can care to say. And its no wonder why, he combines my other favorite inspirations into his style of filmmaking. Francois Truffaut, Charles Schulz, Mike Nichols, J.D. Salinger, among others...

The Museum of the Moving Image just concluded their 5 part series breaking down Anderson's style called The Substance of Style. It goes through the set design, scene to scene shots, character development, and so on. Its pretty impressive. Check it out when you got 50 minutes (or 10 minutes).
