This sleeping bear bag is created by Eiko Ishizawa can be taken anywhere, to be slept in the woods, park benches, etc. Its not for sale (yet!) but is a very cool concept.

ROOFtop

This weekend was filled with:

-Getting my plot at the Clifton Community Garden

-Traveling down to Dumbo for Brooklyn Flea and Almondine (see pics below)

If you haven't been to Almondine, you need to go. Chocolate Almond Croissants are like moments of heaven in your mouth.

Also, as we were walking down to the Flea we came across this place: LAND, League Artists Natural Design. According to the Brooklyn Arts Council, LAND "is a unique studio and gallery that features work of adult artists living with disabilities. LAND is designed to help these artists develop their skills in a nurturing enviornment and market their art to the community in a vibrant and inclusive manner."

Looking forward to visiting it when its open. And yes, that card does say "Judas Priest wishes you a happy birthday."

-And on beautiful Sunday, had a lovely brunch with some ladies and built my garden box on my roof top!

I'm planting my seedlings now and hopefully will be transplanting them in the coming weeks!

i'm a pirate, shiver me timbers!

I'm not sure if the NY Times commercial only plays in New York. But this parody is hilarious.

What Do Yudu

Ok, I didn't make that up, its seriously the website to Yudu.
Regardless, its screen-printing system very similar to Print Gocco but fancier. With the looming doom of Print Gocco, here's an alternative.

It is an all-in-one with a dryer for the emulsion, lightbox, and print set up. You can use your own printer to create filmwork and re-use the screens for new images!

Its a bit pricey, but maybe well worth it for people who want an alternative to screening in your own home.

OOOzzzeeee

I love surprises in the mail, and I got one today from Brendan Monroe! He sent me his new monograph and it is beautiful!

Its his first monograph containing his paintings, sculptures, and installations. You can purchase it at Brendan's website or at the Park Life store.
