A place called home

I worked with Forest in doing a small series on the idea of "Home" for the new Faesthetic and the new issue is out.

Issue #12 showcases 128 pages of original "Home" themed art from 35 artists. Featuring high quality 2 color offset printing, original cover art by Maya Hayuk, inside cover art by Dan Funderburgh and a feature & recap on our installation exhibit "This Must Be the Place."

I'm making what I submitted into a zine soon so look for it in the future.

Remedy me this

One of my favorite food bloggers, Kelly from eatmakeread along with her husband Aaron from Objective Subjective and a couple of their friends are starting up this great magazine. Remedy Quarterly is stories about food and recipes that go with them. I'm really excited about this magazine, I love food, magazines, and the indie labor of love. You can help them print their first issue by pledging as little as a dollar (but hopefully more!) on Kickstarter!

Here's a sneak peek from their first issue. Keep print alive by supporting them!

Daughters of Dawn

I love the name Daughters of Dawn and I love the lookbook even more. If I could rock that peacock dress I would... Check it out.

I could definitely rock this look though!

Lov, Sara and Seonna

Seonna did the artwork for Sara Lov's video. And on this gloomy day, it is truly fitting.

Whim and Whimsy

One of my favorite moments is when you're walking through a book store or a library and you find something new. And I realize, it may not be new to most but its new to me and it feels like a discovery!

This book jumped out at me, "The Whimsical Works of David Weidman," published by Gingko Press. Pretty retro, pretty rad.

Collector's Edition

Heather turned me onto this site and a great collection of inspiring images which are then organized by color. Talk about obsessive compulsive but in the best possible way.

The creator of the site, Joanna Bean has a portfolio of her own awesome works, Weareafterall.
