Ever since "The September Issue" was released I've been waiting to watch it. Now that I've upgraded my Netflix to unlimited streaming I had the movie at my fingertips. It was really interesting to watch, I suppose you have to be into fashion and the on-goings of Vogue and Anna Wintour. There was one person that stood out in the whole film and that was Grace Coddington, the Creative Director at Vogue. Being a former model herself, her career was cut short due to a car accident, but her love of fashion remained. She styles a lot of the photo shoots herself and still has the heart of a romantic.
“I like fairy tales, and I like dreaming. I try to weave the reality into the dream,” she articulates. “When readers pick up Vogue, I want them to smile. Everything should be a little tongue in cheek, a little dare-to-go-there.”
She truly is a fine lady.
